Jack Cook and the Phantoms of Soul – Blues – Live Music brought to you by Third Place Commons!

The Phantoms of Soul is a group specializing in forgotten blues songs from the 1920s thru the 1960s. Sources of material range from singers of the deep south to the great northwest corner. The leader is guitarist/singer/jazzhornist/songwriter Jack Cook, who has been performing traditional blues in the Seattle area for over 50 years. Jack was inducted into the Washington Blues Society Hall of Fame in 2006 and won Best Acoustic for 2007. In 2007 the Phantoms of Soul won Best Traditional Act as well. Other Phantoms include Billy Reed on piano, Walter White on bass and Marty Vadalabene on drums.

Please Note: While masking is no longer required in public spaces, dancing is a high exertion activity that causes heavy breathing and in close proximity to others. In addition, asymptomatic spread of COVID is common, especially among vaccinated individuals. Other activities like changing partners increase potential exposure further.

Many in our community are in vulnerable populations, susceptible to severe disease if infected. Therefore, masks remain welcome in our space, both for your protection and for the protection of others.
