Pop Can Challenge – Autonomous Robot Contest

The Pop Can Challenge is a robotics competition emphasizing autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance and manipulation in a simulated indoor living environment. Robots have three opportunities to navigate from a starting point, find the mini-frig, open it and remove the can of pop, place the can on a table, and finally return to the starting point. Scoring is primarily task-based, with completion times used to rank robots with identical task scores.
