For many years, Shorewood High School tenth graders have shared their talent and passion in the Commons. African Arts Night has always been one of the most engaging, exciting events of the year, a display of creative work inspired by studies of the African Continent.
This year, the scope has widened. On Thursday, June 4th from 6 to 8 pm, Shorewood students present art inspired by contemporary global issues such as population, natural resources, globalization and conflict/cooperation. They will express their views through a variety of visual media and performance art.
Please join us to celebrate learning at its most creative. This work promises to be beautiful, disturbing, clever, and insightful. We guarantee you will be amazed and appreciative.
